Zahra Sarv Aazad is an Iranian artist, currently based in Amman, Jordan.

She works with eco-printing and botanical dyeing on textile, paper, and mixed media — drawn to techniques where nature itself participates in making the work. She is also experimenting with alternative print techniques such as cyanotype and other light-based processes. She also builds wooden frames to hold and complement her pieces.

Zahra means flower, but Zahra sees herself more as a tree — with dancing branches in the wind, while being rooted in the ground. 

So she goes with Sarv Aazad, which literally means a free cypress, or free like a cypress.
